​Laura is qualified in professional writing and editing, with a passion for editing fiction stories. She has edited a novel by Stephen Black, which is available for sale on Amazon and Book Depository. Laura has also helped an author self-publish his short stories, and she has appraised book samples for budding authors.
Laura has six years' experience as a freelance editor and writer. In her roles as a business analyst and quality assurance manager (current), Laura has gained over 20 years' experience in report and procedural writing, online application development, and template and training creation.

Copyedited by Laura in 2018/19, Skelly's Square is Stephen Black's first novel, and was published in July 2019.

Laura helped Vincent realise his goal of having short stories published in December 2018. She copyedited, then formatted and arranged the book for self-publication via a US printing company.

Julie Burgers engaged Laura to write content for her Health & Balance website blog.

Laura has written her own short narrative, The Mask, which she is entering into writing competitions around the country.

Laura proofread the first episode of a story sequence for an emerging author. The work was then used for class reading in a year 6 class room at the author's local primary school.
